Sovereignty

Just set your mind at ease: I’m in control,
And nothing happens but what I ordain.
The ones who claim discernment, on patrol,
Confuse the message simple ones made plain.

While disappointment grows, a side effect
Of living ‘neath the shade of man’s design,
Their explanation pales—outright neglect—
The truth of what I Am they do malign.

For I don’t set up roadblocks to the Cross,
The checkpoints guarded by the ones who grasp
For power, building pits to jump across.
Salvation Ninja Warrior’s rope they clasp.

Take heart—drink living water, and believe:
It’s clearer than the mud of Pharisees.
